Sam and Jane Roberson bought this house in 1941 to raise their family and it became their home for the rest of their lives—a one owner home, well maintained. The close proximity to Maryville College and the excellent Maryville Schools were an asset then and continue to be now. Sam even served a term as Mayor of Maryville. After Jane died at 100 years old, the estate was sold to a niece and her husband, who have lovingly and carefully restored and updated this wonderful Historical home.

A Curving walkway bordered by flowering tulips and mature landscaping, this gorgeous traditional Cape Cod offers a relaxing and cozy atmosphere not found in many homes.

The Yard is filled with bay laurels, weigelia, tulips, azaleas, hemlocks, pine, English ivy and of course a lovely Southern Magnolia. Day lilies, tulips, buttercups, an Aucuba japonica shrub and other flowers fill the gardens presenting varieties of color. Winding around the house via the driveway to the garage entrance, the landscaping is also mature and abundant.

Through the front door and entering the foyer you will see views of the Family Room, Sunroom, Parlor/library/den with quality workmanship and attention to detail. From the fireplace with the beautiful white mantel, the bay window with views of the mature flowering shrubs, bay laurel, holly and other evergreens to the warm and inviting sunroom with warm tiles, wood paneling and flickering sunlight through the wooden blinds, there is a feeling of peace and comfort just waiting for you. Gleaming refinished hardwood floors are throughout the complete main level.

Library/Dining Room with built-in corner shelving, walk into the Master Bedroom with plenty of room for a wonderful master bedroom suite of furniture, lots of light, a master bath & closet.

Breakfast/Dining Room opens to a screened porch leading to the back yard. The yard is terraced up the back with intriguing brick steps leading to a level area for picnics, patio furniture and outdoor games.

Winding up the stairs enhanced by the beautiful carved wood railing you will find three lovely bedrooms, two with gabled windows, double closets and wood floors. One has a door leading to an area above the Sunroom. The third is a Bonus room, hobby/sewing, video/games, etc. A large full bath is located in the center of the floor layout.
